live review course for CRRN certification


Rehab ClassWorks, LLC is pleased to offer a live review course to assist nurses who are preparing for the rehabilitation nursing certification exam offered by the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. Classes are offered in the Salt Lake City area in the Spring and Fall. As with all Rehab ClassWorks course offerings, continuing education credit is available for those passing the course with a score of 80% or better.

Courses are available in either a college course format or a seminar format.

  • College course format review courses meet once or twice per week over a 4-6 week time period for a total of 24 hours of class time. Additional time spent in homework assignments from the Certification Review for Rehabilitation Nursing course published by Rehab ClassWorks, LLC, for a combined total of 66.5 contact hours.

  • Seminar format courses are fast-paced, runing for 1-4 days according to the preferences of the learning group. Self-study assignments from the Certification Review for Rehabilitation Nursing course published by Rehab ClassWorks, LLC are utilized before and after the live class for a combined total of 66.5 contact hours.

Due to the various locations from which students drive for the classes, class location and time is determined with participants after they register in order to make it as convenient as possible for each class. Most classes meet in the Rehab ClassWorks Learning Lab in Salt Lake City, UT.

 

The Live Review Course is updated annually based on feedback from participants in order to provide the best preparation for those nurses who are going to take the certification exam or who want to advance their skills. Multiple practice tests will be given to allow users to build exam-taking skills and evaluate progress toward goals. Topics include:

  • Rehabilitation nursing practice and the rehabilitation team

  • Review of anatomy and physiology

  • Management of nutrition and metabolic needs

  • Management of elimination needs

  • Management of cardiopulmonary problems

  • Management of activity tolerance and mobility needs

  • Management of sleep/rest patterns

  • Management of cognitive/perceptual problems

  • Management of communication disorders

  • Care of patients with SCI, TBI, CVA and other healthcare problems common to rehabilitation settings

  • Community living, coping, self-perception, and sexuality issues

  • Patient/family education and discharge planning; care across the continuum

  • Legislative, economic, ethical, and legal issues impacting rehabilitation nursing practice

costs for review courses

Costs for the live course include a copy of Certification Review for Rehabilitation Nursing computer course and a print copy of the workbook. If you work at a site that already has a multi-user license or you own your own copy of theCertification Review for Rehabilitation Nursing course published by Rehab ClassWorks, LLC, please note reduced rates below.

  • UARN/ARN members: $550 if registered by the deadline (or, if a registered copy of the course already has been obtained, $350)

  • Non-UARN/ARN members: $650 if registered by the deadline (or, if a registered copy of the course already has been obtained, $450)

  • Registration after the deadline: $750 (or, if a registered copy of the course already has been obtained, $550)
